Upcoming Classes

In order to sign up for an upcoming class, please text a picture of the perspectives students permit to 864-554-1071. Please indicate which class you would like to sign up for in your text.  I will respond back with a confirmation text once I receive it.

I offer face to face classes as well as virtual classes done the same day. The virtual classes are live streamed using zoom and class codes are sent the Friday before class.  The face to face class is more interactive where we discuss car maintenance and how to change a tire.  We have several activities where students can do everyday things using intoxication goggles and they will have the opportunity to drive a golf cart through an obstacle course while wearing the goggles.  These classes are limited and will meet in Easley at 2515 Old Pendleton Road, Easley.  Lunch and snacks will be provided.  Cost is $400

Please note:

This does not meet the requirement for Alive at 25.  Alive at 25 is a separate course that allows students to park at schools across the state. Drivers Education allows students to get their restricted license/full license and gives them a discount on their insurance.

Costs:

Drivers Ed is $400 for face to face classes and $390 for virtual.  These prices include the 8 hour class, lunch/snacks the day of class, 6 hours of behind the wheel training with pick up and drop off, as well as the drivers test.  There are no hidden fees.  At the conclusion of class your loved one will receive a certificate that will get them a discount at most major insurance companies.

Please note about drive times:

I try to get students completed as soon as possible once they sign up.  I will get your son and daughter done as soon as possible with the quality education and service that you expect and deserve.  In addition, if your son or daughter is experiencing flu like symptoms and they are scheduled to drive, please call or text to reschedule.  Thank you for understanding and I look forward to working with your son or daughter in the coming months.

ABOUT

the Instructors

Instructor/Owner John Schumpert

I have been teaching driver's education for 22 years and have 24 years experience teaching and coaching in SC Public Schools.  After spending two years as the Athletic Director at Liberty High School, I decided to start teaching driver's education full time at the conclusion of the 2016 school year. I had always wanted to start my own driver's education company and I seized the opportunity following the 2016 school year.  The Ultimate Driving School officially opened its doors in November of 2016.

Currently, I am teaching at Westside High School in Anderson and will continue to teach driver's education after school and on the weekends.

I am committed to making SC Roads safer for you and your loved ones!

James is a Retired Lieutenant with the Georgia. Department of Corrections with over 28 years of service. He was born and raised in Hartwell, Ga. and has lived in Anderson for the past 20 years. As a recent retiree, he wanted to do something else to benefit our communities.  After careful consideration and praying, he chose to join the Ultimate Driving School so that he can not only teach your loved ones how to become better driver's but also how to be a safe low risk driver.

Instructor Josh Mills

Josh is currently employed by the Greenville County School District and is the Head Boys basketball coach at Traveler's Rest High School.  Although he is new to the Ultimate Driving School he is not new to teaching drivers education.  He has over 10 years experience teaching drivers education in schools and privately.  He is a certified 3rd party tester and he is looking forward to working with your loved ones getting them ready for the roads of life.
